A Prominent Principal Preparation Program

Northern State University's Master of Science in Education (MSEd) in Leadership and Administration offers a P-12 principal preparation program that meets the National Educational Leadership Preparation (NELP) Standards, which address the most critical knowledge and skill areas for beginning building-level educational leaders and provide a framework for understanding how to best prepare, support, and evaluate educational leaders in their efforts to help every child grow.

The MSEd in Leadership and Administration is available entirely online, and courses are designed to meet rigorous standards while offering meaningful, practical application of critical skills needed to lead today's schools. The faculty are experienced, knowledgeable, relevant, and connected, which has helped shape Northern's program into a prominent principal preparation program in the state and region. Northern faculty who teach online are trained and certified for online teaching through the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning.
