The General Studies Associate of Arts Degree, offered online or on campus, allows you to design your own degree, tailoring your program of study to fit a variety of interests. The program delivers the academic expertise required for a broad range of occupations, while allowing you to follow your passion.

If you¡¯ve earned at least 60 credits, you can complete your undergraduate education through Northern State University¡¯s Bachelor of General Studies degree. As a graduate of this program, you will be qualified to pursue various career opportunities requiring a bachelor's degree. Additionally, you will be eligible to apply to graduate programs that require an undergraduate degree as a prerequisite.

Northern's GIS Certificate will provide you with skills for careers related to Geographic Information Systems.

As a history major at Northern State University, you'll use the historical method to perform research and clearly present findings, identifying and explaining the significance of important events and issues in American and world history. HyFlex pedagogy is an emerging field of scholarship developing best practices in HyFlex course design, teaching and learning.

Northern State University¡¯s Master of Science in Education in Instructional Design in E-Learning will provide you with hands-on preparation in fulfilling the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE)'s Standards for Educators. ISTE's standards aim to empower teachers and educational specialists to implement high leverage technology-based instructional design as learners, citizens, leaders, collaborators, designers, facilitators, and analysts.
